I am so excited to work with you and your child this school year. It is going to be a wonderful school year filled with lots of learning and awesome adventures. I am looking forward to watching my students learn and grow in their education.
I am the mother of one daughter named Ellie. She just graduated from Georgetown College. It seems like she was in first grade not too long ago so I know all too well how precious our children are to us. I will love and treat your child as I have always wanted my daughter to be treated.
I have lived in Cynthiana most of my life, but I spent a few years in Nicholas County from first grade to sixth grade. My family moved back to Cynthiana and I graduated from Harrison County High School in 1994. I went on to Georgetown College where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I went back to Georgetown College to earn my Master of Arts in Education with an endorsement in Instructional Computer Technology. I just finished my Rank I at Morehead State University and earned a degree in Instructional leadership with endorsements as a Supervisor of Instruction and Director of Pupil Personnel.
The 2018-2019 school year will be my 18th year as a public school teacher. Over the years I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, Fourth Grade, Instructional Technology, and Reading Intervention, but my home has always been in first grade. It is where my heart has always been.
Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns. I truly believe that when teachers and parents work together for the benefit of children, ANYTHING and EVERYTHING is possible. I look forward to working with you this school year!
