My name is Kim Simons and I am originally from Ashland, Kentucky. I graduated from Paul G. Blazer High School in 1996 and Morehead State University in 2000 with a Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. After college I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I worked as an investment accountant for six years for a subsidiary of Western-Southern Insurance Company.
In 2006, I was hired at Nicholas County Elementary School and taught middle school math until 2011. At that time, I returned back to my original passion, business, and began my current position as the Business teacher at Nicholas County Middle/High School. I have completed two masters degrees in education, the first for Math, Grades 5-9 and the second in Business education.
I am married to Jamie Simons and we have three children, Wyatt, Maggie and Ty.
