Nicholas County Elementary Teacher Becomes National Board Certified

Nicholas County Elementary Teacher Becomes National Board Certified

Mrs. Nancy Baker, second grade teacher at Nicholas County Elementary, has become the latest professional to become certified through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).

The NBPTS process requires intense self-reflection and analysis of one's own work within the classroom. The process, sometimes taking a year or longer to complete, measures educators against the highest and most rigorous standards in the profession.

Congratulations to Mrs. Baker for attaining this prestigious certification. She joins three additional Nicholas County Elementary teachers who have been previously named National Board Certified teachers: Mrs. Rhonda Curran, Mrs. Janie Livingood, and Mrs. Joy Story.
